Home Groups
At Riverbend, you are going
to hear a lot about Home Groups. It was
Jesus who actually initiated the small group model with His twelve
Apostles. The pattern for a healthy
church has always been a blend of large, church-wide, public meetings and
small, home-based, private meetings. The main objective of our home groups is a
place for people to connect and grow in their relationship with God and each
other. Home groups consist of 6-15
people. This size allows people to both
share and care for one another in a comfortable setting where everyone can
multiply their joys and divide their sorrows. Each group has its own unique
identity and focus with the common elements of Bible Study, prayer, sharing and
worship. We are excited about the growth
of Home Groups here at Riverbend. We encourage you to contact any of the Home
Group Leaders or the church office to find out more about which group is best
for you. In addition to these home
groups, there are several other special small groups that meet on a regular
basis, including men’s study and accountability groups, women’s ministry, various
seminars/ support groups and the youth discipleship groups.
